The Head Butler oversees all aspects of guest service at the villa, ensuring a luxury experience that exceeds expectation. This role involves managing the villa team, coordinating guest requests, providing personalized service to create a memorable and seamless experience for all guests.

Job Title: Head Butler

Location: Villa Gilgal, Whitehouse, Westmoreland

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Services:
    • Greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for guests, handling any special requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and professionally.
    • Anticipate guest needs and preferences, providing personalized service tailored to individual requirements.
    • Organize and deliver food and beverage services, special requests, and any in-room service needs.
  2. Staff Management:
    • Supervise and coordinate the villa’s butler team, providing clear instructions, scheduling shifts, and assigning tasks.
    • Support and mentor junior team members, ensuring a cohesive, efficient team that prioritizes guest satisfaction.
  3. Villa Operations and Maintenance:
    • Oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of all villa areas, including guest rooms, dining areas, and common spaces.
    • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
    • Conduct daily inspections to ensure villa standards are met and report any issues for immediate resolution.
  4. Event Coordination:
    • Assist with planning and execution of special events, such as private dinners, celebrations, and guest activities.
    • Coordinate with other team members to ensure seamless event preparation and execution, enhancing the guest experience.
  5. Inventory and Supplies Management:
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels for guest amenities, food and beverage, and other supplies.
    • Ensure timely ordering and restocking of necessary items, maintaining accurate records.
  6. Administrative Duties:
    • Prepare reports on guest feedback, team performance, and any issues encountered, providing recommendations for improvement.
    • Conduct walk throughs with the Ministry of Health or any other government official conducting inspections.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Head Butler or Senior Butler in a luxury hotel, resort, or private estate.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to anticipate and meet guests' needs.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Knowledge of fine dining, etiquette, and luxury service standards.
  • Proficiency in handling guest complaints and resolving issues diplomatically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in hospitality or related field.
  • Knowledge of local culture, dining, and entertainment options to provide personalized recommendations.
