A Dynamic Group of Companies is seeking to fill the position of HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 
  • Participate in formulating HR administration policies and procedures applicable to the business unit
  • Ensure compliance with legal and government regulations applicable to the operations of the business unit.
  • Participate in HR related projects to streamline activities and improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Update job descriptions and arrange interviews for applicants
  • Maintain and update employee files ensuring that the relevant information and documentation are always accurate.
  • Collect information, populate and manage the information process for the HRMIS
  • Keep, organize and update records of all employee type whether contract or permanent
  • Keep attendance records of all employees.
  • Submit timesheet and records to payroll per payroll cycle.
  • Maintain/monitor health and life insurance plans.
  • Processes all new hire
  • Ensure all staff follow the guidelines for uniforms and general attire (as per Employee Hand book).
  • Ensure all disclaimers are administered and signed by new hire.
  • Process letter request from staff.
  • Update vacation information for each staff member. Ensure that vacation adjustments are sent to payroll before cut-off period.
  • Supply appraisal forms to department heads, follow-up for completion and file appraisals upon return.
  • Supply application for leave forms and maintain vacation leave information.
  • Check first aid supply for replenishment
  • Plan food handlers permit renewal sessions as required
  • Record and report grievance related matters
  • Liaise with the relevant personnel regarding licences – Fire Safety, Pool Licence, Public Health etc.
  • Liaise with security to ensure staff compliance with safety requirements.
  • Responsible for all matters relating to Employee of the Month/Quarter
  • Monitor contractors End of Contract break
  • Perform other duties consistent with the nature, position and objectives of the Group HR Department.
  • Handle payroll and related matters for team members.
  • As required, perform duties as a personal assistant.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or similar.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an HR role.
  • Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Exposure to payroll practices.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.
