This position provides essential human resource and administrative support to the Corporate Services Department (CSD), which includes but is not limited to the following areas: Human Resources Facilities and Maintenance Health Safety and Wellness Know Your Employee Services

This position provides essential human resource and administrative support to the Department, which includes but is not limited to the following areas:

  • Human Resources
  • Facilities and Maintenance

Salary Range - $6,500 - $7,500 
Major Responsibilities:
  • Employee Management:
    • Perform general HR administrative duties inclusive of preparation of letters, contracts, memos, notices, offer letters, confirmation letters and taking of minutes.
    • Maintain a digital and manual filing system to ensure documents and information are retained and easy to locate, including employee files.
    • Process and record employee status changes, inclusive of employee confirmations, promotions and separations, attendance, punctuality and leave entitlements.
    • Create and maintain databases to track and generate reports on recruitment, manpower, employee leave, training, grievances, and performance management.
    • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
  • Recruitment and Selection:
    • Identify and screen candidates, prepare job advertisements, shortlist candidates, schedule and conduct interviews
    • Assist in preparation and dissemination of Employment Offers and other hiring documentation
    • Coordinate pre-employment and on-boarding activities for new hires
  • Facilities and Maintenance:
    • Coordinate with security provider regarding security for the compound
    • Coordinate with the cleaning company to guarantee office cleanliness
    • Coordinate with the organization’s service providers, including air conditioning technicians, electricians, plumbing services, and stationery suppliers
    • Prepare and fulfill orders for groceries, stationery, pharmaceuticals, and other business needs, ensuring effective inventory management
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.
Education and Certification
  • An Associate degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or related Social Science discipline from a recognized, accredited institution
  • Basic knowledge of Employment laws and practices of Trinidad & Tobago
  • A working knowledge of National Insurance regulations and tax laws of Trinidad & Tobago and Payroll processing software/packages.
Experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similiar position
  • Proven experience and proficiency in Microsoft office applications with particular emphasis on Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
  • Health and Safety experience would be considered an asset
