Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices and employee management, with the ability to effectively cater to the needs of both the healthcare and hospitality divisions. This role is pivotal in supporting our commitment to maintaining a high-performance culture and ensuring that our team members thrive in a positive and compliant work environment.
Overview of Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Recruitment/Onboarding/Separation: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding, ensuring a smooth integration of new hires into our diverse workforce. Oversee and assist with managing the separation processes for employees, ensuring seamless transitions and full compliance with legislation and company policy.
- HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies, managing employee records, contracts, and benefits administration.
- Performance Management: Support the performance review process, providing guidance to managers on employee development plans and improvement strategies.
- Training and Development: Coordinate and facilitate training programs that align with the company’s goals, promoting continuous professional growth.
- Employee Management: Effectively maintain and update employee databases, salary spreadsheets, organizational charts, and other HR records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- HR Reporting: Prepare and analyze HR metrics, providing insights to senior management on workforce trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Policy Development: Assist in the creation and implementation of HR policies and procedures that support the company’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a HR generalist role, preferably within healthcare and/or hospitality industries.
- Strong knowledge of Jamaican labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
