A dynamic and innovative leader in the IT industry is seeking a temporary HR Assistant to join our HR department. 

The HR Assistant will support the Human Resource department, focusing on assisting with onboarding, interview coordination, and recruitment support. The HR Assistant will assist with staff engagement events and provide general support for the daily functions of the HR Department. Also coordinating all in-house and external training programs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the recruitment process by scheduling interviews and making necessary arrangements for pre-employment checks and tests.
  • Update and ensure accuracy and completeness of employee information on manual files.
  • Provide support for the onboarding process, ensuring that all required steps are completed.
  • Support the planning and execution of staff engagement events and activities.
  • Coordinate all in-house and external training programs, including scheduling, communication, and logistics arrangements.
  • Assist with the administrative and the day-to-day operations of the company's Human Resource Department.
  • Ensure that all HR processes are handled with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Any other duties may be assigned within the scope of the job.
  • Provide excellent experience to all persons who interact with the HR Department

 

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar HR capacity
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of Jamaican labour laws
  • Maintain annual department calendar
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to details and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
