ROLE SUMMARY

The HAS is a customer facing role with an extension of market access, engaging with payers, institutions, HCPs and other key stakeholders to deliver value-based messages of the company medicines and enhance access through patient programs, affordability programs, innovative healthcare solutions and partnerships.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers to understand payers’ unmet needs​ and coordinate commercial & access long-term business objectives to maximize access 
  • Establishes relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers to understand payers’ unmet needs​ and coordinate commercial & access long-term business objectives to maximize access.
  • Develop and operationalize the approved public policy plan or healthcare initiatives for assigned disease area in both government and private sectors - engage stakeholders e.g., Ministries, State Government, state Health Directors, payors, Institutions, NGO, Insurance.
  • Create a customized value proposition, based on a deeper understanding of payer needs to secure access for new product launches​, formulary inclusions, value added programs​ (e.g., disease awareness and education), and/or commercial agreements.
  • Analyze data (non-patient) and improve efficiency of Patient Program process.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional team to identify and materialize opportunities and mitigate risks in assigned markets 
  • Value-based messages must be done in accordance with the regulatory framework applicable in the relevant countries

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • University Degree in Health Sciences, Health Economics or bachelor’s degree.
  • Master’s Degree would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in the pharmaceutical industry of the institutional area.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • A very good knowledge of pharmaceutical market and health systems.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build strong network – internally and externally.
  • High understanding of value-based healthcare and value-based solutions.
  • Confident handling of digital media and digital communication tools.
  • Analytical and networked thinking and working.
  • Solution oriented.
  • Excellent team and communication skills.
  • High degree of self-organization.
