Job Overview
The successful Groups & Events Manager will guarantee success in the closing and execution of all the groups and events in its charge, as well as to promote the sale of extras and upgrade of the contracted services.
Job Responsibilities
· Supervision and coordination of your team of coordinators.
· Control of confirmations, updating of Secnet and supervision of the transfer of the files of the events to the different operational coordinators of the hotels, depending on the characteristics of the event and the skills of the aforementioned coordinator.
· Management and assignment of inspection visits. Supervision and transfer of the inspection visit report to the following persons responsible for its management.
· Keep up-to-date operating procedures and specific instructions, as well as mice sales fact sheets and kits.
· Coordinate and support the operation of large events, where more than one team member is involved to ensure the correct provision of the service.
· Supervision and monitoring of the payment of services and closing of billing.
· Follow-up of satisfaction surveys.
· Assignment of requests to team members.
· Receipt of files (group manual) and assignment of functions to team members.
· Coordination and leadership of the team in large events.
· Link with the other areas of the hotel.
· Control of payments and invoicing.
· Control of team schedules and management of vacations and breaks.
· Control of compliance with the KPIs defined for the department.
· Reports on your team's performance, including sales, quotes and performance.
· Inspection visits.
Job Requirements
· Degree in administration, tourism or hospitality.
· 4 years working in Groups and Conventions department.
· Experience in customer service.
· Knowledge of the national and international market, operational hospitality, sales.
· Knowledge in Office.
· Language skills-High level of English, speak, translate and / or write the language perfectly.
Other desirable (non-essential) requirements:
· License to drive.
· Availability to travel.
