Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Treasury and Asset Management Operations team in the capacity of:
Group Treasury Operations Officer
Have direct responsibility for the daily transactions that support the activities of the department with greater focus on the Sagicor Life Jamaica Investment operations portfolio.
Compile and submit the necessary files, processing BOJ JamClear transactions and ensure proper record maintenance for the portfolio while ensuring that all securities involved in settlement are received.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the system data ensuring that the entire spectrum of the Securities & Treasury Settlement transactions is properly executed for the relevant entities of the Sagicor Group.

As a Group Treasury Operations Officer, you will:
- Promote quality service standards by observing and delivering consistent quality service in compliance with service level agreements.
- Perform activities and assessments to facilitate the streamlining of the operations for SLJ and managed funds.
- Maintain register of holdings for SLJ and its managed funds.
- Prepare monthly and weekly reconciliations of the securities registers, broker statements, SSnC records /GDT templates and Bloomberg records.
- Prepare daily Trade Files and DSR for SSNC / GDT Templates for Clearwater.
- Respond to SSnC /GDT templates accounting breaks as per established procedures and SLA’s.
- Update, allocate & reconcile Treasury positions in Bloomberg.
- Monitor the activity on SLJ’s overseas and local Brokers accounts to ensure that all transactions are accounted for.
- Process & settle SLJ treasury transactions daily.
- Respond to queries and research in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in coordinating various special operational projects.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Finance or an equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- At least two (2) years’ working experience in a Financial Institution.
- Completion of the Jamaican Securities Course would be an asset.
- Exceptional analytical skills, strong oral and written communications skills, meticulous and detail-oriented.
- Sound knowledge of settlements procedures.
- Working knowledge of various settlements systems both local and international.
- Must be a team player, problem solver, critical thinker, self-motivated and possess integrity and a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
