Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Treasury & Asset Management Operations team in the capacity of:
Group Treasury Operations Associate
Have direct responsibility for the daily Global Bond allocation of assets to liabilities through the preparation and dispatching of security delivery letters and securities to clients, while ensuring that all securities involved in settlement are received.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the system data by ensuring that the entire spectrum of the securities & treasury settlement transactions are properly executed for the relevant entities of the Sagicor Group.

As a Group Treasury Operations Associate, you will:
- Promote quality service standards by observing and delivering consistent quality service in compliance with service level agreements.
- Adhere to policies and procedures.
- Attend approved training courses to enhance the development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance.
- Process global bond hypothecation and corporate actions.
- Respond to SSNC trade breaks as per established procedures and SLA’s.
- Prepare daily Trade Files and DSR for SSNC.
- Process & settle treasury transactions daily.
- Complete weekly and monthly reconciliations of broker statements to SS&C as per established procedures.
- Update, allocate & reconcile Group Treasury positions in Bloomberg as required.
- Maintenance of the global bond registers daily.
- Settle global bond trades & transfer requests for both proprietary and client portfolio as per settlement standard.
- Respond to queries and research in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Associate’s Degree in Finance, Management Studies or relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of one (1) year’s working experience in a financial institution.
- Completion of the Jamaican Securities Course would be an asset.
- Knowledge of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to details.
- Must be a team player, problem solver and critical thinker.
- Must possess integrity and strong work ethics.
- Ability to work independently on concurrent tasks and adhere to deadlines.
- Able to easily adapt to changing priorities.
- Able to meet high expectations for precision and accuracy.
- Must be highly organized.
- Sound knowledge of settlements procedures, GOJ debt instruments and securities pricing.
- Working knowledge of various settlements systems both local and international.
