Objective:

Responsible for acquiring new Admixture client contracts, developing growth strategies and maintaining relationships with current and prospective industrial clients. Provide industry-specific guidance to product management and access competitive offerings, control inventory and properly keep supplies in TCL market, follow up with Superquimicos, get orders on time.

 

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Reach existing and potential industrial cement customers to optimize concrete and block production mix designs using CEMEX admixtures, leveraging empirical data from their raw materials to propose optimal solutions.
  • Conduct on-site trial mixes at customer locations to ensure the quality and suitability of concrete products.
  • Visit industrial customers (cement and admixtures) to resolve technical issues related to mix design, materials, and processes.
  • Offer technical support to the Guyana market, including training commercial staff.
  • Perform trial mixes in internal laboratories for quality and performance controls for cement and admixtures used in Trinidad and Panama operations.
  • Conduct certification exercises to ensure cement from Panama and other CEMEX sources meet ASTM and BS EN standards for project requirements.
  • Analyse chemical and physical properties of admixtures at local inventories and customer locations.
  • Collaborate with statutory and executing agencies across territories for upcoming project requirements.
  • Responsible for product availability for the Trinidad Market and export Markets in Trinidad Admixture export Hubb. Must keep track, control Inventory and place orders timely for reliable supply to the markets. Generate requisitions for stock items and follow the procurement process, ensuring timely shipment clearance to avoid demurrage charges.
  • Coordinate the timely delivery of the admixtures from Panama and Trinidad from PO to full delivery chain to end customer.
  • Oversee the distribution process of Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for regional cement customers.
  • Negotiate supply prices with Superquimicos Panama for admixtures sold from Panama or the Trinidad warehouse.
  • Prepare annual budgets and sales projections for local and export markets.
  • Report monthly sales activities to regional planning teams.
  • Provide technical support for large-scale infrastructure projects, including written technical discussions and customer meetings to promote cement brands.

 

Required Education / Expertise / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Management, Mix design technician, Project Management or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Good teamwork and coordinating skills
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Reporting and analytical skills
  • Availability to travel overseas
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Knowledge of Spanish language would be an asset
  • Experience in cement manufacturing plants would be an asset

 

Required Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in aggregates, cement and concrete industry or technical experience in mix designs and lab.
