Primary objective of the job: 

The Group Collections Manager’s role is to drive customer centric collections process across all markets and verticals aligned to the strategic goals of the business, with targeted focus to reduce the Trade Debtor balances and reduce bad debt.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reduce outstanding Trade debtor balances
  • Drive collections performance throughout Markets and vertical
  • Create, develop and utilise reports which help optimize Collections policy and process across all lines of business to maximize collections performance
  • Continually assess Collections strategies to remove inefficiencies and improve performance
  • Lead on reviewing Collections activity with Market CEOs / CFOs to drive collections performance
  • Monitor adherence to Digicel Duning policies
  • Support the wider debtor reporting processes such as Trade Debtors, Bad debt as required
  • Build relationships with the wider Collections function to create a one team approach

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • B.Sc. in Finance or a relate discipline
  • 4+ years collections leadership experience
  • Strong, demonstrable knowledge of accounting principles and accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS), as well as tax reporting
  • Previous experience of managing direct reports, and supporting performance appraisal process
  • Lean / Six Sigma exposure or equivalent desired
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and MS products, such as Excel and Word
  • Ability to interact with leadership, key stakeholders, employees and suppliers in a professional manner.
  • Professional Accounting Qualification
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Experience in Power BI / SQL preferred
