GROUP CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (GROUP CFO)
As Group CFO, you will be responsible for the Group’s overall financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting and analysis, and developing performance metrics to support long-term growth and operational success. You will lead a high-performing Finance and Accounts team and provide critical financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with our business objectives, including financial planning, budgeting, accounting, forecasting and financial reporting. Design and enforce financial policies, standards and internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity at both the group and subsidiary levels.
Monitor compliance with financial ratios, liquidity and solvency standards across the Group and, where necessary, take corrective actions to ensure compliance.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and reporting standards and maintaining robust internal controls and risk management processes.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Provide astute and proactive financial analyses and guidance to support strategic decisions, including investments, partnerships, potential expansion, mergers and acquisitions and operational improvements. Capable of leading high-level negotiations.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in alignment with IFRS. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor our finance teams across the Group, including Accounts and Procurement, fostering a culture of collaboration, high performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, auditors and investors.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate financial performance to investors, analysts, financial institutions and other stakeholders, in a timely manner, maintaining transparency and trust.
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA/CFA accreditation and/or ACCA or equivalent held for at least 15 years.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior financial management role, including at least 5 years in a comparable executive role at a strategic level; experience within the transportation, auto rentals or logistics industry would be an asset.
- Must be proficient in IFRS standards.
- Strong financial modelling, analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- The ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with persons at all levels.
- Results-driven leader capable of managing complex projects and multi-stakeholder negotiations.
- Excellent leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset.
- Sound knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards
