Group Accountant

Group Accountant is responsibilities for the month-end process, preparation of management reports, the group's consolidated financial statements, and potentially supervising junior staff.

Role Description

The incumbent will be responsible for the following functions:.

• Posting all group journal entries in a timely manner
• Managing external relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders
• Preparing bank reconciliation reports
• Reconciliation of sub-ledger accounts to General Ledger
• Prepare regular account reconciliations
• Perform analysis of General Ledger accounts
• Liaising with banks, regulators and service providers
• Provides support and co-ordination to external auditors during external audits
• Assist with preparation of Financial Statements and other accounting-related reports to include disclosure notes for audited financial statements

Key Competencies

• Excellent communication skills – oral and written;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications;
• Team player with excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills;
• Must possess good time management skills in order to meet strict deadlines;
• The incumbent must also be willing to work flexible hours and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and    commitment.
• Knowledge of SAP and SAGE would be an asset.

Education and Experience

• BSc. Business Administration, Accounting or Equivalent
• 3 years’ experience in an accounting role
