To prepare financial accounts, reports and financial statements for the Group.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Preparation of company accounts including month end reporting, expenditure analysis, accrual calculation, variance
analysis and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly group consolidation accounts and be involved with overseas subsidiaries and group companies’ issues
to enable timely completion of the Group accounts.
• Generate accurate monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.
• Interpret and analyze financial statements for management.
• Understand and fulfill all statutory accounting requirements
• Develop internal controls to promote efficiency and accuracy
• Prepare tax returns and other statutory returns inclusive of VAT, Corporation Taxes and Green Fund Levy.
• Collaborate with relevant personnel to produce a timely year end audit.
• Provide financial information to management by compiling and presenting reports, and financial statements (including
monthly and annual reports).
• Prepare audited financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Preparation of reconciliations (bank, intercompany, etc)
• Managing the monthly variance analysis and providing commentary on the financial performance
• Liaising with the external Auditors and management of statutory audit process
• Maintaining accounting controls by designing and implementing policies and procedures
• Liaising with group bankers
• Maintaining fixed asset registers for holding companies
• Maintaining loan schedules and amortisation schedules for holding companies
• Ensure timely invoicing to customers
• Provide IFRS guidance to the group on accounting matters
JOB SPECIFICATION:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• ACCA/CGA/CPA qualified
• 3-5 years’ experience as an Accountant
• Experience within a manufacturing environment and auditing would be considered an asset.
• Proven technical accounting proficiency and strong analytical skills.
• Proven experience management financial reporting in a timely and consistent manner
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Solid technical background, including consolidated reporting and statutory reporting experience
• Background in Audit
