Job description:

Primary objective of the job: 

The Go-to-Market and Channel Strategy Group Director is a critical role for Digicel, focused on supporting the implementation and adoption of the commercial framework across the Group’s 25 markets. This position is key in driving growth momentum in both Mobile and Digicel+ businesses. The primary focus is ensuring the adoption of the Commercial Framework, with a strong emphasis on enhancing commercial productivity, optimizing commissions, improving target base performance, and transforming channel strategy and execution.

The role requires high levels of influence, collaboration, and the ability to create detailed execution plans to improve overall performance.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Alignment:

  • Channel Strategy: Define and implement the channel strategy for both Mobile and Digicel+ services, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by supporting market teams in adopting a high-performance commercial framework, with particular focus on channel execution and target achievement.
  • Commercial Framework: Guide market teams in the adoption of best practices within the Commercial Framework, focusing on productivity, commissions, and revenue optimization.

Implementation and Execution:

  • Market Support: Provide in-market support, ensuring that all teams align with the Group's channel strategy, execution standards, and performance goals.
  • Productivity & Performance: Drive market adoption of a performance-based commercial framework, with a focus on improving commercial productivity, channel performance, and commission structures.
  • Execution Plans: Develop detailed execution plans in collaboration with in-market teams to transform the channel strategy and ensure sustainable growth.

Leadership:

  • Strategic Guidance: Provide leadership in channel strategy, guiding in-market teams to effectively implement and execute strategies that drive value for shareholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with market teams to ensure a seamless and collaborative approach in executing strategies that align with Group objectives.
  • Talent Development: Foster a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and performance by attracting, retaining, and developing top talent across central and market operations.

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Go-to-Market and Channel Strategy roles, preferably within telecommunications or related industries.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale commercial operations, driving growth, and optimizing channel strategies across multiple markets.
  • Strong experience in commercial frameworks, productivity management, and commission structure optimization.
