Gift Shop Manager

Description of Duties:

Responsible for overseeing daily transactions, monitoring and analyzing the day to day operation of the Gift Shops within the park.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the financial success of the department
• Ensures the department complies with financial guidelines and meets or exceeds all financial and operational goals.
• Training, supervising and appraising staff
• Managing budgets
• Maintaining statistical and financial records
• Dealing with customer queries and complaints
• Overseeing pricing and stock control
• Maximizing profitability and meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
• Preparing promotional materials and displays
• Responsible for the daily operation of the department
• Ensures the department is adequately staffed, stocked, and open by schedule time
• Responsible for the stocking, display/presentation, and pricing of store merchandise.
• Ensures items are properly rotated and meet or exceed sanitation and health standards and guidelines.
• Greets and assists guests; works sales floor shifts; accurately processes guest payments by operating a cash register, POS Machine, and/or credit card machine.
• Ensures cashier duties are performed properly, cash register sales are recorded accurately, and that correct accounting procedures are followed.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors, Associates Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or related field
• Two or more years experience in Sales Management, Gift Shop Management or similar role.
• Background knowledge and experience in sales
  High degree of accuracy
• Advanced computing skills
• Vast knowledge in Microsoft Office
• Positive Attitude
• Good mathematical skills
