Under supervision, the Office Assistant performs a range of office support duties to each department within the organization such as clerical, data entry, filing, composing of routine correspondences and/or word processing work as assigned. Reports directly to the Office Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Enter employee data (late/absent) into Micropay Payroll system
File various staff application forms (e.g., sick leave, vacation, time off, loans)
Perform general clerical duties (filing, copying, sorting branch documents)
Assist with research and special projects as needed
Assist in Warehouse Department when necessary
Dispatch cheques to suppliers and service providers
Sort and distribute documents/packages
Cut, stamp, and distribute weekly staff pay slips
Data entry using Peachtree Accounting system when necessary
Order and manage stationery supplies
Assist with BBQ Fundraisers and Catering services
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Five (5) CSEC passes including English and Mathematics
At least three 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position
Working knowledge of Peachtree Accounting Software and Micro Pay Software would be an asset
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite
Must be able to work independently
