Under supervision, the Office Assistant performs a range of office support duties to each department within the organization such as clerical, data entry, filing, composing of routine correspondences and/or word processing work as assigned. Reports directly to the Office Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Enter employee data (late/absent) into Micropay Payroll system

  • File various staff application forms (e.g., sick leave, vacation, time off, loans)

  • Perform general clerical duties (filing, copying, sorting branch documents)

  • Assist with research and special projects as needed

  • Assist in Warehouse Department when necessary

  • Dispatch cheques to suppliers and service providers

  • Sort and distribute documents/packages 

  • Cut, stamp, and distribute weekly staff pay slips

  • Data entry using Peachtree Accounting system when necessary

  • Order and manage stationery supplies

  • Assist with BBQ Fundraisers and Catering services

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Five (5) CSEC passes including English and Mathematics

At least three 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position

Working knowledge of Peachtree Accounting Software and Micro Pay Software would be an asset

Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite

Must be able to work independently
