Our client, National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) Grenada, a premier water utility in the Caribbean, is seeking to recruit a visionary leader to serve as its General Manager (GM) on a five (5) year contract. The GM will be responsible for the strategic leadership, management, and operational oversight of the utility, ensuring a sustainable water supply and wastewater management services in accordance with regulatory and environmental standards and the policies and procedures established by the Board.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the GM will drive operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction while ensuring financial sustainability and compliance with all relevant regulations. The GM must be capable of spearheading transformative leadership initiatives, driving change management processes, and successfully managing and implementing large-scale infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned engineer responsible for ensuring NAWASA’s customers have access to superior quality and reliable water and sewerage services.  He/she will develop and execute strategic plans, ensure sound financial management and revenue generation strategies, lead a multi-disciplinary team, oversee the maintenance and upgrading of water supply and sewerage infrastructure, and foster relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Suitable candidates should possess a master’s degree in finance, business, public administration, or any related field. A bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred along with a minimum of eight (8) years’ progressive experience at a senior management level within the water and sewerage sector, public utilities, or a related field. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of financial management, business development, and strategic planning, expertise in transformative leadership and change management, and demonstrated knowledge of modern water and wastewater management technologies and best practices.
