General Manager

General Manager for Water sports company, providing services/tours such as scuba diving, snorkel tours, whale and dolphin safaris and more.

1. The General Manager shall be responsible for the overall management of the company (Dive Dominica Ltd) and its efficient functioning in accordance with the Company’s goals and objectives. In general, this includes overseeing all aspects of operations within the dive shop, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, safety, and team performance, managing daily operations, staff training and development, financial management, and marketing initiatives to promote the shop’s services and offerings. The GM will work closely with the  partners to create an engaging and safe environment for all staff and clients of Dive Dominica Ltd by performing the responsibilities such as;
   1. i.      Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, including:

(a)   Work with the various cruise lines and preparing cruise ship contracts seasonally and other documents as needed.

(b)   General supervision of staff (in office & ground staff) to ensure smooth functioning of the company’s operations.

(c)   Ensure effective inventory management by ordering the necessary stock items, boat parts & etc. necessary for operations.

(d)   Ensuring that the company’s property and assets are kept secured daily Weather monitoring

(e)   Ensuring that the company’s vessels are up to date with respect to paper work, general maintenance and up keep

(f)    Ensuring that first aid, oxygen and safety equipment are up to date, and a schedule for checks is implemented.

(g)   Work closely with various staff at the supervisory/ team leader level to ensure that their duties are effectively performed.

(h)   General management duties, including but not limited to: Develop strategies for growth; identifying new areas of opportunity for the company’s expansion

(i)    Experience in marine mechanics, compressor knowledge and boat master 2 or 3 a major asset and candidates with such will be given special attention. Watersports industry knowledge and or scuba diving instructor also an asset.
