General Manager
TTCBA is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the position of General Manager. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the association, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving initiatives to enhance the development of TTCBA and the carnival experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and direction to the TTCBA team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to promote the growth and sustainability of TTCBA.
• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders including carnival bands, government agencies, sponsors and the wider community.
• Manage financial resources effectively, including budgeting, fundraising, and sponsorship acquisition.
• Oversee marketing and promotional efforts to enhance the visibility and impact of TTCBA and Trinidad and Tobago Carnival.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines, prioritizing safety and adherence to best practices.
Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the events management, cultural, or non-profit sector.
• Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Trinidad and Tobago Carnival and the cultural landscape of the region.
