We are searching for a vibrant Guest Experience Guide with a knack for storytelling and customer service. The ideal candidate will be able to effortlessly perform minor alterations to each itinerary to suit the unique interests of each group.

Role Summary:

The Guest Experience Guide is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction on our guided Farm Tour experiences. S/he will ensure necessary preparations are made for each tour, lead guests through the tour, and upsell the company’s products to guests.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and welcoming guests to the tour.
  • Informing guests about the itinerary for each tour.
  • Scheduling transportation for guests ahead of time, if required.
  • Organizing tour groups and confirming booking details with guests.
  • Gathering and making the preparations necessary for each tour.
  • Familiarizing yourself with the route of tours, company and surrounding area history as well as products and processes.
  • Familiarizing guests with the company’s history, products, facilities and processes according to the tour script.
  • Take initiative and make recommendations to improve the tour script, route and overall guest experience.
  • Encouraging guests to apply sunscreen regularly and to remain hydrated, where applicable.
  • Attending to reasonable guest requests such as taking photos and making recommendations for non-competing businesses nearby.
  • Answer inbound guest questions received in-person and online, before, during and after the tours.

 

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality or related field 
  • Atleast 5 CSEC subject passes
  • Minimum 2 years’ proven experience as a tour guide or in a guest-facing role in the tourism industry.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Strong background in retail sales is preferred.
  • Excellent conversational skills with a knack for storytelling and improvisation.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and possess a sense of humor.
  • Operate with humility, honesty, and integrity.
  • Adherence to safety codes, legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrable initiative and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to a tight schedule.
  • Willingness to complete forms, reports for company records and performance tracking.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
