GENERAL WORKER

The General Worker is responsible for stocking and maintaining shelves and displays in store.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure that shelves and displays are well always stocked and are visually appealing.
2. Move pallets of merchandise from the warehouse to the appropriate department or aisle and arrange products on the shelves and display units.
3. Conduct check best before and expiry dates and to place the stock that is closest to expiry at the front of the display when placing goods on shelves.
4. Remove the pallets, cardboard boxes and packaging and dispose of them in accordance with correct store procedures as products are transferred from the pallets to the shelves or display units.
5. Keep display units and shelving clean and tidy.
6. Provide customers with sales assistance as required in a polite and friendly manner and seek to encourage customers to make purchases.
7. Assist with stock inventories, loading and unloading incoming and outgoing merchandise in the warehouse and setting up displays.
8. Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.
9. Perform any other related duties as required by the job function.

Minimum Education and Qualifications

1. At Least 3 O’ Level CSEC subjects

Experience

1. None required.

Or any equivalent combination of qualification and experience

6. Attention to detail by ability to efficiently allocate cognitive resources to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks.
