Job Summary:

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for leading the overall operations, growth, and strategic direction of the business. This includes managing day-to-day functions, financial performance, business development, and organizational leadership. The GM will drive company culture, ensure operational excellence, and oversee team performance across all departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a results-oriented approach to achieve the company’s short-term and long-term goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals, increase revenue, and improve profitability.
    • Collaborate with the executive team to set company objectives, allocate resources, and implement effective strategies.
    • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and challenges.
  2. Operational Management
    • Oversee daily operations, ensuring productivity and efficiency across departments.
    • Establish and monitor performance metrics to ensure quality and efficiency.
    • Optimize operational processes and systems for maximum effectiveness and scalability.
  3. Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
    • Oversee cash flow management, cost controls, and financial planning to meet profitability targets.
    • Conduct regular financial analysis and make data-driven decisions to enhance financial performance.
  4. Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate department heads and team members to drive high performance and engagement.
    • Foster a positive work environment, promoting a strong company culture and values.
    • Conduct performance reviews, establish development plans, and manage staffing needs.
  5. Sales and Business Development
    • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to identify growth opportunities and drive customer acquisition and retention.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, acting as a representative of the company.
    • Identify new markets, products, and services to expand the company’s portfolio.
  6. Customer and Stakeholder Relations
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by implementing effective customer service practices and resolving issues as needed.
    • Communicate with stakeholders, including investors, board members, and partners, to provide updates on business performance.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory and compliance matters.
  7. Risk Management and Compliance
    • Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
    • Maintain safety and quality standards to protect employees and clients.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 7+ years in a leadership role with a track record of managing teams and driving business growth.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to develop and implement operational processes.
    • Experience with CRM and ERP systems is a plus.
