Applications are invited from qualified persons for the position of Fund Administrator in our Investments & Portfolio Management Department.

The person in this position will efficiently and effectively administer assigned funds and accurately account for transactions in each portfolio.  Other major duties are:

 

  • Checking the general ledger and ensuring that accurate information relevant to each fund is entered into the 4Series system on a daily basis.
  • Sourcing relevant supporting documents to validate transactions and filing as stipulated in the Standard Operational Procedures on a daily basis.
  • Preparing fund valuations at each month’s end, by stipulated deadline.
  • Preparing the accounting entries for posting to the general ledger, as required.
  • Ensuring that the required reconciliations and returns are completed within the specified time frames.

 

REQUIREMENTS:     

                                                   

  • A first degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management Studies or any         other related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent professional qualifications plus at least two (2) years working experience in a similar position.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial securities management investment techniques and financial instruments.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software packages e.g. ACCPAC, Quick Books
  • Thorough knowledge of 4 Series or other investment management software.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to function well in a dynamic environment.
