FRONT END TEAM LEADER 

The Front End Team Leader responsibility is to assist in providing leadership and guidance to the staff and customers to ensure efficiency, optimal productivity, the provision of excellent customer service and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focuses on customer satisfaction and needs, ensures that employees consistently provide customers with superior customer service through the establishing and enforcing of organizational standards.
  • Resolves customer related issues promptly, assists customers with queries as needed.
  • Ensures adequate staffing and efficient use of labour, anticipates and plans for increases in staff numbers. Ensures that contingency plans are in place for cases of emergency.
  • Prepares work schedules for staff in the department and assigns specific duties to employees. Maintains work schedule records and oversees employee break schedules.
  • Supervises and monitors employees in the department ensuring that all duties assigned are performed efficiently.
  • Opens all phone card, credit /debit card machines.
  • Prints all cash register Z readings, settles all credit card, debit card and phone card machines at the close of shift/ business.
  • Conducts weekly spot checks of cashiers ensuring incidence of shortages and overages are contained.
  • Checks all foreign currency and overseas credit cards for irregularities.
  • Performs functions such as voids, deletes, discounts, reprints and refunds.
  • Liaises with banking/telecom institutions regarding machines and other issues which may arise.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate Degree/ Diploma in Business Administration/Hospitality/Operations Management
  • 3 years’ experience in retail/operations management, including over one year of previous supervisory experience or suitable combination of education and experience.
