Freight and Customer Service Representative

 

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic, people-oriented, and driven Freight and Customer Service Representative to provide support to the various Freight and operations functions throughout the group. The successful candidate will be required to act as a liaison with Principals, terminals, agencies, and customers while providing exceptional service according to our company standards and policies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and input documents to meet Customs 24 hours Rule.
  • Prepare manifest for Customs and terminals.
  • Preparation of Import Appendix.
  • Update discharge data including verification of Crowley, Cnc & NVOCC (Lines) shipments for external and internal customers.
  • Prepare arrival notices for customers.
  • Prepare vessel files for external and internal customers.
  • Assist in preparation of debit notes for credit customers.
  • Verify release criteria which entails presentation of original B/L or express release are always met.
  • Validation of cargo documentation and verification of freight and charges.
  • Timely and professional execution of the validation process.
  • Presentation of validated documents for approval by management.
  • Liaise with operations, sales & marketing, logistics and accounting departments to verify different aspects of the Bills of Lading.
  • Maintain import principal communication and relationships.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of freight and documentation experience.
  • 2+ years in customer service.
  • Experience in Customs Act and Processes.
  • Air and seaport documentation and operations experience.
  • Experience in Port Community System (PCS)
  • Working knowledge Principals’ Documentation and Operations System
  • Experience in Advantum Agent and Freight System
  • Microsoft Application skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of Odoo ERP would be an asset
