Gaming Lounge located in Kingston Jamaica seeks to hire a Food and Beverage Supervisor to fill a vacant position.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR- GAMING LOUNGE
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for monitoring Food and Beverage as well as activity on the floor at a gaming establishment. Supervising employees and patrons, handling complaints, attending to machines, and ensuring quality customer care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Monitor and manage all food & beverage orders according to budget.
• Manage, motivate and mentor F&B staff to ensure quality service
• Order food supplies and communicate with vendors/ inventory department
• Ensure that food & beverages are prepared in accordance with established standards
• Maintain the kitchen in accordance with food & beverage, health and safety regulations
• Train, and supervise the food & beverage team
• Collaborate with employees, vendors and the management team for special events
• Assist with the planning, costing and implementation of menus and drink lists
• Observe gaming tables for proper etiquette.
• Supervise subordinates.
• Handle service complaints.
• Record and compile reports.
• Ensure regulations are adhered to while patrons gamble.
• Survey tables for suspicious activity.
• Assist with hiring, and training of staff.
• Assist in evaluating employees' performance.
• Monitor and verify gaming activities
• Assist with ensuring that the facility is up to code and has adequate fire protection.
• Call for maintenance on malfunctioning machines.
• Keep abreast of information pertaining to gaming operations, promotions and events, and disseminate said information to appropriate persons.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Degree in hospitality, management or similar
• A proven track record of managing food & beverage
• Ability to solve problem quickly and efficiently
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of different facets of food preparation e.g. prep, storage, drinks, alcohol presentation
• Familiarity with the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission's regulations would be an asset
• 2 years’ experience Food and Beverage management
• At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position
• Salary commensurate with qualifications
• A degree of flexibility and latitude.
