The F&B & Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage service, floor operations, and staff management during events. This role ensures seamless execution of events, high service standards, efficient bar operations, and accurate POS management.

Job Summary:

The F&B & Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage service, floor operations, and staff management during events. This role ensures seamless execution of events, high service standards, efficient bar operations, and accurate POS management. The supervisor works closely with the Event Manager, beverage consultants, and venue staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining cost control and inventory efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Venue & Event Operations

  • Be on-site during events from setup to closing, ensuring smooth execution, particularly during weekend programming.
  • Gather and report event sales figures (bar revenue, attendance, etc.) to the Event Manager & MD, with support from the Head Hostess.
  • Schedule staff (bar, floor, servers) and distribute shift plans to the team in coordination with the Event Manager.
  • Supervise and coordinate running orders, ensuring all elements align with the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization in all F&B areas.

 

2. Bar Management & Beverage Operations

  • Schedule, train, and manage the bar team, ensuring adherence to service standards with support from the Event Manager.
  • Assist the Event Manager with beverage ordering, stock management, and supplier coordination.
  • Ensure cost-effective purchasing and inventory control while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with the beverage consultant to curate and update event-specific drink menus.
  • Monitor bar operations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.

 

3. POS & Payment Systems Management

  • Achieve high proficiency in OMNI POS and assist in training staff on the system.
  • Manage Dine Maestro & OMNI operations, ensuring accurate order processing and payment handling.
  • Troubleshoot POS issues and liaise with technical support if needed.
  • Ensure end-of-day cash reconciliation and reporting.

 

4. Team Leadership & Customer Service

  • Lead by example, maintaining a professional and positive work environment.
  • Resolve guest complaints promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs with staff.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to venue policies, dress codes, and service protocols.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in F&B supervision, bar management, or event operations.
  • Leadership: Strong team management and scheduling skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in OMNI POSDine Maestro, and inventory systems.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of beverage trends, stock control, and event logistics.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Requires standing for extended periods and working in a dynamic event environment.
  • Weekend and evening shifts are mandatory.
