SELECTION METHOD: Selection of Individual Consultants
The Government of Jamaica (GoJ), through the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service (MoFPS), and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) executed a Non-reimbursable Technical Cooperation for the preparation of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) projects for the development of efficient and sustainable infrastructure in Jamaica.
The DBJ now invites eligible Consultants (“Individuals”) to indicate their interest in providing consultancy services for a Financial Management Specialist (part-time). Interested Consultants should provide their Curriculum Vitae (CV) with information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. Interested Consultants should also be guided by the Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (GN-2350-15).
The qualifications criteria are:
i) A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or ACCA Level 2 with 5-years’ experience in providing accounting services in a firm or company.
ii) Experience in Project Finance.
iii)Previous work experience as a Financial Management Specialist with government agencies and international development partners would be a distinct advantage.
iv)Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and other Accounting Software
v)Demonstrated skills in developing, managing, and maintaining electronic databases for analytical purposes, using database management tools such as Microsoft Excel.
vi)Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
vii)Ability to work independently, take initiative and make sound judgements.
