From our three production facilities in Barbados, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic we offer our regional customers design services and premium quality packaging solutions that add value to their brands.

We are looking for a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as Financial Controller. This position reports to the Managing Director.

THE ROLE:

• To manage the accounting function, administering the CLC Companies' financial accounting systems, supervise the preparation of monthly management accounts, and provide financial support to the senior management team.
• To ensure proper internal controls are developed, implemented, and monitored across our three locations.
• To ensure that all CLC Companies are reporting in accordance with the GEL Group requirements and are submitting the required reports each month and on a timely basis.
• To safeguard and manage the CLC Companies’ finances, working capital and fixed assets.
• To coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and participating in strategic planning for the CLC Companies.
• To liaise with external auditors in Barbados, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic at year-end and prepare annual financial statements for the CLC Companies.
• To lead and manage the accounting teams in Barbados, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
• To provide financial analysis and modelling to drive business decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• ACCA, CGA OR CPA qualified with at least five (5) years' experience in a similar role.
• A minimum of three (3) years' experience at management level and possess strong leadership skills.
• Thorough knowledge of accountancy and International Financial Reporting Standards
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including liaising with remote colleagues.
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and build successful teams.
• Previous experience in a Manufacturing entity would be an asset.
• Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
