Job Summary

As the Financial Controller, you will oversee the financial operations for the group, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and strategic financial planning. You will lead a dynamic finance team, guiding them to deliver excellence in all aspects of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of finance professionals to ensure smooth financial operations across the group.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, providing insightful analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Track and monitor revenue for accuracy, verifying it against sub ledger report on a monthly basis.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Coordinate audits and ensure timely and efficient completion of all audit processes.
  • Ensure that collections are consistent with set company time frames and contract conditions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key financial trends and risks.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the leadership team, assisting with long-term planning and financial decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and industry standards, ensuring the group remains compliant.
  • Assist in the creation of company and/or group policies and procedures.

 Human Resource

  • Assisting with recruitment and selection for accounting staff
  • Facilitate department training and development.
  • Helping to achieve greater employee satisfaction.
  • Inspiring and motivating employees through positive encouragement.
  • Develop, measure and monitor performance plans and also completing probationary and performance reviews.

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent qualification preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial control or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing a finance team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
