The purpose of the Financial Controller is to oversee and direct the company's financial functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations and optimal financial performance.

Job purpose: 

The purpose of the Financial Controller is to oversee and direct the company's financial functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations and optimal financial performance. This role will provide strategic financial guidance, manage financial planning and analysis, and lead the finance team.

Main Accountabilities: 
  • Financial Reporting: Overseeing the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Leading the budgeting process, financial planning, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Internal Controls: Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Cash Flow Management: Managing the company’s cash flow, monitoring working capital, and optimizing liquidity.
  • Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinating and supporting external and internal audits, and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the organization’s compliance with financial regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Leading and developing the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Qualifications, knowledge & experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA, ACCA)
  • 8+ years of financial leadership experience
  • Familiarity with financial software and systems
  • Proficient in MS Office
