The Financial Controller will be responsible for our Alexandra Resort and will report to the Group Financial Controller.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for our Alexandra Resort and will report to the Group Financial Controller.

 Responsibilities:

  • Execute and/or coordinate general accounting and related activities.
  • Supervise the operations of the accounts office and Night Audit. 
  • Management of the finance function and overseeing the finance team.
  • Prepare End of Month journals and conduct the Closing process. 
  • Responsible for supporting and liaising with the General Manager in meeting the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly forecasts, operating results.
  • Responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations.
  • Able to prepare and submit management reports in a timely manner and also ensure delivery deadlines.
  • Able to effectively implement all accounting policies and procedures.
  • Able to ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard hotel assets.
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flows
  • Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
  • Preparation of Monthly P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
  • Overseeing the Payroll process

Qualifications:

  • CPA Certification (CA, CGA or CMA)
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in hospitality financial management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visual One and IQware accounting software
  • Verbal and written English and good interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to plan and organize work
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving capacities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Caribbean and Hotel experience
