Financial Controller

 Kemtek Development and Construction Limited, one of Jamaica’s largest real estate development companies in its on-going expansion invites suitable candidates to apply for the position of Financial Controller.  The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, integrating finance operations, forecasting and budgeting, handling tax matters, preparing financial reports, and ensuring organizational financial stability.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including project accounting, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
• Develop and maintain monthly financial statements and reports.
• Maintain financial records for each project.
• Prepare development budgets and cashflow forecast/projections for each project.
• Preparing financial reports for submission to the CEO/Broad of Directors
• Analyzing financial data so to make informed decisions
• Monitoring internal controls.
• Participating in budgeting processes.
• Managing financial transactions.
• Streamlining accounting functions and operations.
• Developing plans for financial growth.
• Evaluating and managing risk.
• Coordinating audit processes.

• Required Qualifications

• Possess a Msc. Accounting /ACCA Level 111/CPA Certification or equivalent and minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position  
• 10 years of combined experience in accounting and finance
• Strong Knowledge of Taxation laws and regulations
• proficiency in accounting software packages, including MS Dynamics General Ledger, Peachtree and Sage.
• Knowledge of ACL software or similar auditing software.
