Job Summary

The Financial Analyst at Couples Resorts will play a pivotal role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and business decision-making processes. This role involves analyzing financial data to identify trends and variances, preparing financial reports, and providing insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance. Emphasis will be placed on risk management, quality control, and fostering innovation within the Administration Division

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to support corporate finance decisions with the preparation of detailed financial reports
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes
  • Analyses profit margins and develop strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Support implementation of risk management policies
  • Assist in developing training programs to enhance financial acumen across departments.
  • Support the induction and development of junior finance staff through mentorship and coaching
  • Participate in sustainability projects to increase operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  • Ensure all financial practices comply with Companies Resorts’ safety and environmental policies
  • Provide support to various departments in understanding financial data and reports.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding all corporate financial data
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal departments and external partners
  • Establish and maintain a robust financial data quality control system
  • Regularly review financial processes for accuracy and compliance.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or economics
  • A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism sector.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling, excel, data analysis tools, and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with environmental sustainability practices is a plus.

  • Capable of working under pressure, meet deadlines, and work without close supervision
