KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the month end book close is completed in accordance with the established Group Reporting schedule.
Investigates and analyses variances from budgets and prior years actuals.
Monitors costs, advising on improvements to business processes and institute effective cost controls.
Plans and prepares Annual Budgets in accordance with agreed deadlines.
Establishes work standards and procedures for the inspection and appraisal of the accounting records.
Reviews and appraises the adequacy of, and compliance with financial controls.
Ensures that the company’s Fixed Asset register is accurately maintained and the procedure for the transfer and disposal of Fixed Assets within the company is adhered to.
Ensures that all Capital Expenditure Policy and Procedure is adhered to.
Ensures that the Sums Insured adequately meet the needs of the organisation.
Ensures that Sales and Statistic reports are accurate and prepared on a timely basis.
Allocates resources so as to achieve the department’s objectives
Preparation, analysis and distribution of Key Performance Indicators.
Works together with the business to ensure no downtime in business operations and alignment to SLA.
Lead, Plan and Execute relevant activities relating to the annual statutory audit of the Company.
Act as main liaison with external/internal auditors during audit period.
Ensures specific General Ledger accounts are analyzed/ reconciled.
Provides analytical and technical assistance to members of Shared Services as well as assisting associates with reporting queries.
Coaches, mentors and motivates team members.
Evaluates team members and sets goals to broaden their experience.
Maintains Confidentiality at all times.
Adheres to all of Company’s Policies and Procedures including Health, Safety, Securityand Environmental Policies.
Undertakes any other job-related tasks requested by the Director/Manager/Supervisor
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
ACCA or equivalent qualification
At least Five (5) years’ work experience in finance role
Suitable supervisor experience
Computer Literate – Working knowledge of MS Office and a computerized financial application.
High degree of planning, organizational, analytical, and financial skills.
Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, audience-appropriate messages.
Excellent oral and written communications skills
