OBJECTIVE
The main objectives are that the Finance Manager is required to work closely with the Leadership and Management team to secure and grow organization’s value. The Manager is required to manage the financial operations of the Company, prepare financial statements in accordance with standards and regulations, engage in financial planning, performance management and implementing systems, controls and processes to secure the Company’s assets.
FUNCTIONS
- Leads the preparation of financial statements in accordance with International Financial Accounting Standards.
- Leads the completion of audit of the financial statements with external auditors in accordance with statutory timeline.
- Leads the financial planning, forecasting and management reporting functions, providing information for control and decision making.
- Provides advice and financial due diligence on investment decisions to secure and protect value.
- Assesses the financial health of the company and makes appropriate recommendations to leadership based on findings.
- Completes Board and Committee reports to support Governance and aid in timely and informed decision making.
- Assesses the financial risks facing the Company and Group (Point and Inherent), develops and implements mitigation actions in accordance with agreed timelines.
- Develops, implements, maintains processes and controls that are current best practices related to transaction processing, and oversee the accounting procedures of the company to ensure compliance with country laws, accounting and statutory guidelines.
- Manages financial operations processes such as payables, receivables, inventory, asset.
- Continuously evaluate and implement opportunities for value creation with Group and Company.
- Manages a robust records management system to ensure the accurate and timely filing and retrieval of all documents and transactions generated by the division.
- Executes all other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The minimum requirements for the position are:
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or a First Degree in Accounting or in any related field of study.
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ finance experience of which at least five (5) years’ must be at a Leadership level.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry.
