Finance Manager (Guyana)

 

Overview: Our client is one of the leading technical service providers across the Caribbean Region. With offices in most territories, the company can offer region-wide robust solutions to sectors including Finance, Government, and Retail. Due to growth, they are seeking to appoint a professional accountant to operate from the office based in Guyana.

 Duties & Responsibilities:


• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other accounting transactions.
• Lead the Finance team including the inventory team.
• Establish effective relationships and contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, and other financial needs as necessary
• Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
• Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
• Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision-making
• Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
• Maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting activities

 

Desired Qualifications/Experience:


• Full ACCA designation preferred (will consider close to completion)
• 5 years’ experience in a related management/ supervision field
• Strong Leadership skills and proven ability to lead an effective Finance Team
• Must be customer-focused and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle
