Ocean Coral Spring | Eden Bay, a 5-star hotel in Jamaica, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee the hotel's financial operations, ensuring profitability, compliance, and excellence in financial management.


Position Objective:

The Financial Controller is responsible for managing the hotel's financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee accounting activities, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
- Develop and implement financial strategies to maximize revenue and reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and hotel industry regulations
- Lead and supervise the finance team
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions, banks, suppliers, and government agencies


Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, or similar) preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hotel or hospitality industry
- Experience with hotel accounting systems (SAP, payroll systems)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial software
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish
