Reporting to the AR Manager, the Finance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the management team by delivering key insights into business performance and analysis.
POSSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the AR Manager, the Finance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the management team by delivering key insights into business performance and analysis.
Functions under this portfolio include:
- Internal and External Analysis to include information via dashboards and performance reports (customers, markets, revenue, inventory, sales, CRM etc.)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide strong and in depth financial analysis and commentary around the Accounts Receivables of the company to give leadership a view on the strength of the business and alignment to overall business strategy.
• Monitor daily reconciliation of top-ups by the team to ensure discrepancies are identified
• Monitor and review customer accounts receivable balances
• Investigate, analyze and resolve customer accounts receivable balance discrepancies
• Reconcile customer accounts with a view to reduce bad debt
• Create and monitor AR ageing and metrics reports
• Conduct research to identify and resolve customer accounts receivables issues.
• Maintain documentation for merchants to support compliance for credit rating and in particular Bill payment customers
• Support the Operational Teams in understanding reports and forecasts
• Develop and assess KPI's for assigned Business Unit/Region to provoke conversations with business leaders around the performance/health of the business
• Any other duties as may be assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or related area
• Over 3 years of relevant experience as a Financial Analyst or Commercial Analyst
• Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
Competencies
• Must be adept at scoping requirements, structuring deliverables, and project managing their work streams
• Possess numerical skills and be Excel proficient (advanced preferred) as the work will be a mix of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Able to demonstrate a successful track record in writing clear concise informative analytical research reports, mainly presentations but also in long form (i.e. Word), and for blogs.
• Be outgoing and resilient with natural skills at building relationships and befriending our internal clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite: word, excel & PowerPoint (Strong Microsoft excel skills).
• Ability to prepare & deliver presentations with PowerPoint and reports using Excel.
• Distinct critical and analytical thinking skills.
• The ability to understand and manage key performance indicators.
• The ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships across levels within the organization.
• Strong commercial acumen.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Normal office environment with occasional travel to visit partners, and represent the Company
