Here is an exciting opportunity to join Island Grill as the Factory and Fulfillment Centre Manager.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this leadership role will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • Be accountable for the successful operation of the centre and be responsible for meeting BPM goals;
  • Ensure that our revenue generating restaurant teams receive accurate, safe, high quality supplies on time, so they can delight customers and optimize sales;
  • Be responsible for production management (including forecasting), purchasing, inventory management and control, equipment and facility maintenance, process development and performance management;
  • Lead the team by planning, directing and coordinating operational activities within the Inventory and Production Departments in keeping with company standards;
  • Fostering a safe, well maintained and positive environment, and continually improving work processes and team capabilities in a fast paced, high volume factory operation.

We are looking for someone who has: 

  • Strong leadership skills (the ability to lead & inspire diverse teams),
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills,
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills,
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently to achieve departmental goals.

 Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc in Logistics or Business Administration (specialization in Supply Chain Management would be an asset).
  • Solid understanding of food safety and workplace safety systems
  • HACCP and OSH Certification
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in food manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record of senior management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows application, particularly Excel
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
