FLEET MECHANIC

The successful candidate will be responsible for the repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and systems across the resort, ensuring optimal functionality and user satisfaction.

Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:

• Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment malfunctions.
• Performing emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Conducting regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential mechanical issues proactively.
• Assisting with the installation of new equipment and machinery.
• Collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to develop preventive maintenance schedules.
• Providing technical guidance and support to other staff members as needed.
• Participating in training sessions to stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of energy-saving initiatives.
• Maintaining inventory levels of spare parts and supplies necessary for repairs.
• Supporting special projects and events that require mechanical expertise.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma.
• Certificate from recognized tertiary and/or vocational training institution.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels.
