The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance and operation of our company fleet vehicle as well as mechanical assets.

JOB SUMMARY

The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance and operation of our company fleet vehicle as well as mechanical assets. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the relevant asset is well-maintained, compliant with all relevant regulations, and operate efficiently to support our business operations.

JOB DUTIES

  • Fleet Maintenance
    • Conduct first stage / hands on technical repairs as required
    • Execute maintenance plan for all fleet and mechanical operations, including scheduling regular inspections, repairs, and upgrades as needed.
    • Coordinate with technician, vendors, and other service providers to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair work.
    • Conduct regular inspections of fleet and mechanical operations to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Manage fuel and oil consumption to ensure optimal efficiency and minimize the environmental impact of our operations
    • Ensures that all breakdowns during working hours are resolved expeditiously so as not to disrupt delivery of service and protect the asset 
  • Administration
    • Monitor and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including government / Ministry statutes, safety, health, and environmental regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records and checklists of all maintenance and repair work, as well as expenses related to fleet and mechanical operations.
    • Prepare regular reports on fleet and mechanical operations, including maintenance activities
    • Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and other improvements based on analysis of data and reports.
    • Ensure that all drivers and machine operators comply with company policies, including inspection and maintenance requirements, and safe driving and operating practices

  QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English.
  • Technical qualifications in mechanical, electrical and automotive technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet and mechanical asset management

 SKILLS

  • Experience with preventative maintenance best practices, maintenance management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, including OSHA and Town and Country codes
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions that align with company goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
