The incumbent is responsible for supervising technicians and general workers, inspecting building structure to determine renovation or repair requirements, maintaining day to day operation of facilities. Any other duties as assigned.

A reputable construction company with more than 25 years’ experience executing projects Island wide invites applicants for the following positions:   FACILITIES OFFICER

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

l Inspecting buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.

l Provide first line response for maintenance and repair request from occupants of properties.

l Scheduling routine inspections, maintenance activities, renovations and emergency repairs with outside vendors and reporting on maintenance repairs and other occurrences.

l Supervise Technicians, Maintenance Teams, and General Workers.

l Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security professionals

l Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders

l Creating and implementing best practice maintenance strategies and policies to aid and improve operational performance.

l Conduct periodic visits to check on the state of unoccupied premises.

l Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.

l Ensure adherence to proven safety practices.

l Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions

l Maintain log tracking maintenance repair and renovation requests and activities

 

Qualifications:

l Strong verbal and written communication skills

l Proficiency in basic accounting principles

l Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Facilities Management, or Construction Management 

l Minimum 5 years experience in property management or related field

l Minimum 3 years experience in managing and/or coordinating a team and Client/Vendor management
