The Children's Authority of Trinidad and Tobago is a specialized agency with the responsibility for the care and protection of children, especially those who are at risk or have been victims of abuse or neglect.

The Children's Authority of Trinidad and Tobago is seeking to recruit for the role of External Grant Administrator, on contract.

The External Grant Administrator is responsible for managing the lifecycle of external grants received by the Children’s Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (CATT). This role involves overseeing grant applications, compliance, financial reporting, and ensuring adherence to grant terms and conditions. The External Grant Administrator reports to the Manager, Finance, and collaborates with various departments to support grant-funded initiatives in accordance with international grant management standards.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in grant management, financial management, or project management, preferably in a non-profit or public sector organization.
Principal Accountabilities/ Key Functions:
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant proposals and applications in collaboration with program managers and department heads.

  • Monitor grant compliance and ensure adherence to grant guidelines, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and review grant budgets, financial reports, and expenditure documentation for accuracy and compliance with donor requirements.
  • Maintain grant records, including tracking deadlines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication with grantors and stakeholders to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide updates on grant-funded projects.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of grant-funded activities to assess impact and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with program managers to develop and implement strategies for maximizing grant utilization and impact.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff involved in grant-funded projects on grant management policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on grant activities, expenditures, and outcomes to senior management, the Board of Management, and external stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all grant-related correspondence, reports, and financial records.
  • Perform any other duties as may be required to successfully achieve this job function.
