The Executive Assistant reporting to the Managing Director will have responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the organization's administrative activities, inclusive of the functions of Human Resources, Accounts Receivable, office facilities and records management.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

 

A medium sized company based in Kingston and St. Andrew and engaged in the importation and distribution of high-end commercial equipment is seeking to identify an Executive Assistant.  The Executive Assistant reporting to the Managing Director will have responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the organization's administrative activities, inclusive of the functions of Human Resources, Accounts Receivable, office facilities and records management.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial and executive services support to the Managing Director
  • Manage Human Resource function including responsibility for running monthly payroll and maintaining company’s Human Resource records
  • Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable and Bank Lodgements
  • Ensuring all monthly and annual statutory requirements are met
  • Responsibility for procurement and logistics of overseas purchases  
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of Administrative Staff and Drivers
  • Overall responsibility for filing of records, including maintenance of vehicle fleet records
  • Well organized

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • A tertiary degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management
  • At least four (4) years experience in a similar position
  • Must have previous Human Resource Management experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • Previous experience with Accounting Software would be an asset
