Entertainment Vacancies- Playroom Manager & Entertainment Supervisor

Moon Palace Jamaica is inviting suitable candidates to apply for the positions of Playroom Manager and Entertainment Supervisor.

PLAYROOM MANAGER

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Ocho Rios for a Playroom Manager. The Playroom Manager will ensure the proper operation of the Playroom, prioritizing the physical safety and care of children.

Specific Skills, Knowledge and Qualification

• In Pedagogy
• Child Psychology
• First Aid & CPR
• Childcare, and/or Children's Entertainment
• Ability to work effectively with children of various ages and abilities.
• Ability to maintain a calm and positive attitude under pressure.
• Previous experience of Five (5) years in childcare, early childhood education, or similar roles is highly desirable. A relevant diploma or degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.

Playroom Functions

• Supervise and train playroom staff, ensuring they understand and follow safety protocols and cleaning procedures.
• Address staff concerns and provide guidance and support.
• Conduct periodic surveys and identify opportunities.
• Maintain a stimulating and engaging environment for children.
• Conduct regular safety checks of the playroom and equipment
• Achieve and maintain guest satisfaction levels.

 ENTERTAINMENT SUPERVISOR

Role Description

This is an on-site role located in Ocho Rios for Entertainment Supervisor. The Entertainment Supervisor will oversee the proper operation of the entertainment areas to guarantee guest entertainment and satisfaction.

Specific Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Sports
• Activities and Entertainment
• Microsoft Office Suites
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in this or a similar position.
• Three (3) years progressive supervisory experience
• Practical exposure to recreational in-door/out-door games/activities
• Must be trained in microphone techniques and qualified to perform the duties of a master ceremonies.

Job Functions

Carry out daytime and night time entertainment activities according to the program and supervise their correct execution by the Entertainment Staff.

Verifies that the entertainment staff is complying with the standards of presentation, guest service and that it complies with the corresponding Safety regulations.

Ensures that all Entertainment areas open and close at established times.

Conducts tours of the areas to determine that the operating equipment is functioning properly and without technical failures, following up on pending issues in a timely manner.

Supports the Department Head in personnel management, requisitions of operational equipment and supplies necessary for the operation of the department.
