JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for providing reliable equipment to Operations through Planned Maintenance Strategy.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan the preventative and corrective maintenance (PM and CM) of KFTL’s mobile equipment, ensuring the availability of all parts, materials and tools to facilitate setting and achieving equipment maintenance and repair schedules.  Liaise with external suppliers and service providers on required spares/materials and services
  • Monitor and record progress, highlight deficiencies in the programme and provide solutions for on-time programme delivery.  Monitor and report on PM Compliance (Due vs Completed) & Schedule Compliance (Scheduled vs Completed)
  • Configure CHAMPS for maintenance activities, including Equipment / Asset Specifications, Maintenance Plans, etc..  Create, update and archive Work Orders and generate the necessary supporting documents
  • Develop equipment maintenance and repair forecasts and schedules based on Original Equipment Manufacturer recommendations and structured analysis of equipment performance data
  • Coordinate the installation of the required decals, I.T / communication peripherals
  • Create, monitor and update inventory Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) parameters
  • Plan Statutory Certification & Structural Inspections of mobile lifting equipment
  • Organise all documentation related to equipment involved in incidents, submit incident report to Security, Safety, Legal and Claims Departments; generate Accident Cost Estimate Report

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Electronic Engineering from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and machines
  • Experience in maintenance planning & scheduling in an industrial environment
  • Working knowledge of techniques and methods of equipment maintenance
  • Good computer skills with competence in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Ability to work productively on own initiative and under pressure
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good time management and organizing skills
  • Integrity and ethics
