The Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring the Engineering department maximizes the Plant’s uptime by overseeing simultaneous projects.

 

Job Summary

 

The Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring the Engineering department maximizes the Plant’s uptime by overseeing simultaneous projects, managing a diverse team of engineers responsible for the proper maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery, strategic planning, team development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

 

The Engineering Manager is also responsible for ensuring that products are produced to meet quality standards, production schedules, and cost objectives.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Leadership:

-          Work as a part of the senior management team to develop and refine long/medium-term strategic and operational plans for the company

-          Lead and mentor engineering teams, promoting professional growth and collaboration. Develop progression and succession plans for the Engineering dept's key positions

-          Establish performance standards, key performance indicators and conduct performance assessments for direct reports, all in accordance with organizational/strategic objectives.

-          Develop annual/monthly production schedule and report on actual production output.

-          Manage effectively and efficiently the engineering department so that strategies may be implemented to rectify any identified deficiencies.

             

Project Management:

-          Oversee engineering project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.

-          Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and requirements.

                                                                                                                                                                                         

Process Improvement     

-          Identify opportunities for process enhancements to increase efficiency.

-          Implement and promote agile methodologies and best practices.

-          Provide fact-based analytical information to support production initiatives and contribute to the business planning and evaluation process.

 

      

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Planning:       

-          Work closely with senior management, design, and other departments to align engineering efforts with business objectives.

-          Facilitate effective communication between teams to ensure alignment and transparency.

-          Contribute to the technical vision and strategy of the engineering department & assess and integrate new technologies and tools to improve engineering capabilities.
