GEL Manufacturing Holding Company Limited - holding company for the Manufacturing Division of Goddard Enterprises Limited - operates eight (8) companies across the Caribbean and Latin America. We are seeking to recruit a driven and innovative individual to fill the position of Engineering Director - Manufacturing to work with our operating companies to maintain, improve and acquire efficient and cost-effective manufacturing technological and engineering capabilities. The individual will also be responsible for the execution of Major Capital Expenditure projects and will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the strategic development of the manufacturing technological and engineering capabilities for the Company.

• Ensure the optimal application of technology and engineering resources to meet/exceed the defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Manufacturing, Engineering & Maintenance.

• Develop and lead the Company’s technical resources for direct support to all Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing and Facility expansion activities.

• Collaborate with the management of the operating companies to develop and implement Manufacturing KPIs.

• Establish and maintain Technical Standards across all operating companies and support to ensure adherence.

• Provide technical direction and guidance as well as direct Project Management for all operating companies and operations within the Company.

• Develop and coach technical experts and technical team members within the operating companies.

• Collaborate with all other functional leaders in Sales, Marketing and Technical teams to ensure alignment with the Company’s strategic goals.

• Ensure that the operating companies maintain Quality, Efficiencies and Cost Effectiveness.

• Develop and manage Budgets.

• Develop Feasibility Studies and Project Proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• A minimum of Ten (10) years’ experience in the Manufacturing Plant Operations.

• A minimum of Five (5) years’ experience managing Engineering for a Manufacturing Group.

• Experience in Design and Construction of Manufacturing Facilities.

• Expertise in LEAN Manufacturing.

• A strong working knowledge of Manufacturing processes with a track record of designing and implementing manufacturing production lines.

• A track record in improving Plant Efficiencies, Plant Throughput, developing and implementing Manufacturing KPIs.

• Ability to work with multiple management teams and teams with various cultures.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, Word and AutoCAD.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

• Sound organizational skills, with the ability to execute and meet deadlines.
